Forrest Electric was founded by James Edward Forrest in 1943. Located between Gobles and Eastwood, James wired homes and farms, while maintaining his own farmland.
Murray, son of James and Gladys showed interest in the electrical business, and required an electrical license at the age of twenty two years.With James sudden passing, Murray expanded the business, with the addition of plumbing and heating.
Murray and his wife Billie successfully operated the business in it’s present location of 105 Main Street, Princeton from 1947 until Murray’s retirement in 1989.
Murray’s son Greg also explores the interest in the electrical field, apprenticing through the family business, gaining his electrical license in 1983. Greg and his wife Joanne purchased the home of Forrest Electrics present location in 1987, where Greg successfully operate's “Murray Forrest Electric Ltd.”
